TNF 100 Thailand 2015

Once again we find ourselves in one of our favorite parts of Thailand, Khao Yai National Park and this time back in Pak Chong for the third consecutive year to participate in the North Face 100 Trail Run!

What started for us three years ago has become an annual event we have been looking forward to. And each year we go with a group of friends, some runners, some cheerleaders but all having a great time in any case.
And this time we even got to meet Asia’s top elite runner. We have been following Vlad Ixel and his running adventures for a while and it was nice and made for good added inspiration to have met the man up and close (third from the left – white T-shirt).

Still looking fresh before the start:
Here is worth mentioning how our running has evolved in recent times:
2013: I barely managed to complete the 25 km distance and Liz was there to be our photographer helping us capture great memories.
2014: Liz had caught the trail running bug herself and completed the 10km distance in style. I too had been training hard and successfully completed my first 50km run.
2015: By now we are full on! Liz and her sister, Agnes ran alongside to finish the 15km distance and I literally broke my boundaries by running the full 100km Ultra Marathon.
For the 100km event we got off to an early 05H00 start
And by the time it was all done – night time again…
So we are both feeling exhausted (complete understatement) but nevertheless happy and a little bit proud.
