A Typical Day in Austria

I come from a small Austrian village after all and although I have lived outside of Austria for many years by now, it is the beauty of this great country that brings us back each year. Postcards are no longer fashionable but if they were, my hometown would definitely provide the perfect setting.

No better way to get the day started but a nice morning run
This is what it looks like on a beautiful and mild August morning:

Ooops…, well, it’s the countryside, alright…
Then a breakfast of freshly harvested berries and Greek yoghurtFreshly harvested by yours trulyThe rest of the day, is mostly all about food. A quck lunchtime barbequeAnd here we have “The Apprentice” trying her hand at “Strudel”:A few holes too many in the dough but under the watchful eye of my motherSomehow, this strudel came to beAnd with so many berries at hand, I too got involved…, talk about too many cooks in the kitchen … 🙂And late afternoon, a hearty “Jause” at the terrace while enjoying the sunsetUntil the sun sets over Austria …Another day in paradise …!
