I come from a small Austrian village after all and although I have lived outside of Austria for many years by now, it is the beauty of this great country that brings us back each year. Postcards are no longer fashionable but if they were, my hometown would definitely provide the perfect setting.
Ooops…, well, it’s the countryside, alright…

The rest of the day, is mostly all about food. A quck lunchtime barbeque
And here we have “The Apprentice” trying her hand at “Strudel”:
A few holes too many in the dough but under the watchful eye of my mother
Somehow, this strudel came to be
And with so many berries at hand, I too got involved…, talk about too many cooks in the kitchen … 🙂
And late afternoon, a hearty “Jause” at the terrace while enjoying the sunset
Until the sun sets over Austria …
